About the Role
tma is looking for a culturally plugged-in, strategic Influencer & PR Manager to join our growing agency. This role sits at the intersection of influencer marketing, PR, social media, and events. You’ll be responsible for shaping how brands show up in culture – building strong creator and media relationships, driving earned media, and leading influencer-led campaigns that genuinely move the needle. We work with leading local and global brands across beauty, luxury, lifestyle, fashion, and retail, and we’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, trends, and creator culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Own and manage influencer and PR strategy across multiple brands
• Identify, vet, brief, and manage influencers (nano → macro) aligned to brand DNA
• Build and maintain strong long-term influencer and media relationships
• Plan and execute PR campaigns, influencer seeding, launches, and collaborations
• Coordinate PR-led events (guest lists, RSVPs, influencer attendance, follow-ups)
• Secure earned media coverage across digital, print, and social platforms
• Stay ahead of social media trends, platform shifts, and emerging creators, translating insights into brand opportunities
• Track and report on performance: reach, EMV, coverage, sentiment, influencer ROI
• Work closely with content, social, and client service teams to ensure aligned execution
Present clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to clients
Requirements
2-4+ years’ experience in Influencer Marketing, PR, Communications, or Creative Marketing
Strong experience working with premium, luxury, beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or lifestyle brands
Proven ability to lead influencer and PR campaigns end-to-end
Hands-on experience with influencer seeding, launches, and PR-led events
Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and creator ecosystems
Strong reporting and insight skills (reach, EMV, coverage, sentiment, ROI)
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
Johannesburg-based and willing to travel when required
Valid driver’s licence Preferred
Existing media and influencer network within South Africa
Experience working with international or global brands
Agency experience
Postgraduate or advanced marketing/communications qualification
